FAQ

Does Slayers 2 have a map?
No. Slayers 2 ships without an in-game world map, and no verified coordinate set exists, so route guides show the order you reach areas and how they connect rather than real in-game distances.
What is the starting area in Slayers 2?
Windy Peak, covering levels 1 to 12. It is where every new character spawns, holds the bandit camp for the opening quest chain, and has the katana shop.
What level is each area in Slayers 2?
Windy Peak is 1-12, Mistfall Harbor 10-25, Bamboo Grove 13-25, Bear Area 13-20, Butterfly Mansion 25+, Final Selection 45 and Demon Hideout 5+.
What is the fastest route through Slayers 2?
Windy Peak to the bear area to Bamboo Grove and Mistfall Harbor, pick a breathing trainer at 25, stop at Butterfly Mansion for healing, then take Final Selection at 45.

Slayers 2 gives you no world map, which makes travel the single biggest hidden time cost in the game. This guide is the route map: every area in the order you reach it, its level range, what stands there, and how the areas connect — so you can plan a farming loop instead of riding in circles.

What are the areas and their level ranges?

Area Level range Type What stands there
Windy Peak 1-12 Starter highlands 2 trainers, 1 boss, katana shop
Demon Hideout 5+ Cave 1 trainer (demon lord NPC)
Mistfall Harbor 10-25 Coast 1 trainer, weapon and item shops
Bamboo Grove 13-25 Forest 2 trainers
Bear Area 13-20 Forest edge 1 boss, dungeon portal
Butterfly Mansion 25+ Slayer estates 1 trainer, medic
Final Selection 45 Wisteria mountain Exam, 1 boss

What is in each area?

Windy Peak (1-12) — spawn

Where every new character spawns. The bandit camp for the level 1-7 quest chain sits just outside the village, and the Thunder trainer stands up the slope.

NPCs: quest giver (bandit chain), katana shop, side quests.

Trainers: Thunder (Zentaro), Wind (unconfirmed, reported as a rooftop trainer on the cliffs above).

Boss: Bandit Boss (level 7).

Leads to: Bear Area, Mistfall Harbor, Demon Hideout.

Mistfall Harbor (10-25) — coast

The port town with shops and the fancy katana vendor.

NPCs: weapon vendor (Fancy Katana, 1,500 Wen), item shop.

Trainer: Flame (Rengu) on the coast road.

Leads to: Bamboo Grove.

Bear Area (13-20) — forest edge

The level 13 hunting ground and the main beast core farm before you unlock breathing. A dungeon portal spawns nearby.

Boss: dungeon portal boss.

Leads to: Bamboo Grove.

Bamboo Grove (13-25) — forest

Dense bamboo forest with mid-level demons. The waterfall path leads to the Water trainer; the marsh edge holds the Serpent trainer.

Trainers: Water (Urokodaki), Serpent (Obari).

Leads to: Butterfly Mansion.

Butterfly Mansion (25+) — slayer estates

Healing estate with the Insect trainer and a medic NPC. Also the reported reset point for some slayer-side quests.

Where: signposted from the main road; unlocks visually once you reach level 20.

Leads to: Final Selection.

Final Selection (45) — wisteria mountain

The slayer exam. Survive the mountain for the timer and clear the demons to earn your slayer rank and uniform. Reported to respawn on a two-hour cycle.

How to enter: talk to the exam NPC once you hit level 45; the trial teleports you.

Demon Hideout (5+) — cave

Where the demon-path quest ends. Talk to the demon lord NPC after climbing the wall to convert your character.

Note: the wall climb at the end is required, and falling resets you to the bottom of the climb rather than to spawn.

What is the fastest route?

The suggested run: Windy Peak (1-12) → Bear Area (13-20) → Bamboo Grove and Mistfall Harbor (13-25) → pick a trainer at 25 → Butterfly Mansion for healing → Final Selection at 45.

Still unconfirmed

Two breathing trainers are confirmed to exist but no verified location exists in any source we checked:

Trainer Reported area Status
Sound Breathing Near the entertainment district Unverified
Stone Breathing Near the mountain temple Unverified

Wind and Insect trainers have reported locations but they are flagged as unconfirmed by the sources that list them. This page marks them as such rather than presenting a guess as fact.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which area I should be in?

Match your level to the table above. If an area’s enemies take more than a few seconds each to kill, you are ahead of your level and will progress faster by stepping back one area — the beginner guide covers the brackets in detail.

Where do I get beast cores?

The Bear Area, between Windy Peak and Bamboo Grove. You need five (reported) for a breathing style unlock, plus demon horns from demon spawns on the roads at night.

Is there a fast travel system?

Shrines unlock travel points across the world and are worth activating as you pass them. Grabbing the ones on your regular routes removes the longest rides from every farming session.
